“Oil Painting” - Eye of God - Original

Listing

Eye of God is an original painting by YIFAN ZHANG. A vast, glowing nebula opens like an eye in deep space, with a small spacecraft drifting toward its luminous center. Original artwork, 78.7 × 43.3 in (6.6 × 3.6 ft / 200 × 110 cm). Price: USD 2,800.

Artwork Description

Billows of fiery orange, crimson and rose frame a cavern of electric blue and violet light. Within it, pale cloud pillars rise like distant peaks, a streak of light cuts across the upper field, and a finely painted silver spacecraft hangs in the glow. Scattered stars across the dark border extend the composition beyond the edges of the canvas.

The title Eye of God invites the viewer to read the nebula as a gaze looking back across the universe. The tiny craft gives the scene its scale: a human-made object facing something immense and ancient. From a distance, the painting reads as a bold, immersive field of color; up close, the layered brushwork and detailed spacecraft reward slower looking.

Background Story

Cosmic nebulae have long been described as the places where stars are born. This painting imagines the moment an explorer arrives at the threshold of one, caught between awe and curiosity. It is a contemporary image of exploration, wonder and the search for meaning in a universe far larger than ourselves.
