“Fluid Painting” - Jupiter - Original

Artwork Description

“Fluid Painting” - Jupiter - Original is a one-of-a-kind original fluid painting by YIFAN ZHANG. The giant planet rises out of a deep black field, its glowing rim framing turbulent bands of cream, amber, rust, umber and smoky blue. Swirling storms, including a great red vortex, appear to churn across the surface as if the atmosphere were still in motion.

At 86.6 × 59.1 in (7.2 × 4.9 ft), the work has a commanding, immersive presence. From a distance it reads as a luminous planetary portrait; up close, the poured and layered paint reveals marbled currents, eddies and fine textures that reward slow looking.

Background Story

Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, has long been a symbol of scale, power and the unknown. Its banded clouds and storms are among the most recognizable images of space. YIFAN ZHANG translates that restless atmosphere into the language of fluid painting, letting the movement of the paint itself echo the movement of gas and storm.

The result sits between cosmic landscape and abstraction: an image of a distant world that also feels like a record of energy, flow and time.
